Composting should come with a health warning: it can be strangely addictive. When I got a worm composter I was fascinated to watch as my wriggly charges made themselves at home and turned my kitchen waste into rich wormcasts and useful liquid plant feed, and I have friends who'll bring a teabag home to feed their home composter rather than throw it in a bin in a café.
