Chelsea Flower Show 2008: Water, wheat and, of course, a few tears

It is always a treat to take a look at the Chelsea Flower Show gardens before they are finished: it is a fantastic opportunity to witness new techniques and get a feel for what is really going on. I dropped in on Wednesday, when the gardens still had four more days before completion, but in reality, as most designers aimed to be finished by yesterday (to maximise possible press coverage), there were just two more days to go.
